Our Story
Where Ancient Stone Meets Modern Hands.
Aviko Designs was founded on a single conviction: that genuine Grade A Jadeite — the rarest stone in the world — deserves to be worn, not locked away.
The Origin
How Aviko Designs Began
Jade has been revered in Chinese culture for over 7,000 years — longer than gold, longer than diamonds. It is the stone of heaven, of virtue, of eternity. Yet most jade sold in the Western market is treated, bleached, or composite — a pale imitation of the real thing.
Aviko Designs was born from a refusal to accept that compromise. By building direct relationships with trusted suppliers in China — artisans and traders whose families have worked in jade for generations — we are able to offer something rare: genuine, untreated, Grade A Jadeite at every price point.
Every bangle, pendant, and bead necklace that leaves our hands has been personally selected. We know where it came from, how it was shaped, and what makes it exceptional.
Jade Education
Understanding Grade A Jadeite
Not all jade is the same. In fact, most jade sold commercially is not jade at all — or if it is, it has been chemically altered to improve its appearance. Here is what you need to know.
Natural & Untreated
The only grade we carry. Grade A Jadeite is entirely natural — no polymer impregnation, no bleaching, no artificial color enhancement. What you see is what the earth made.
Bleached & Polymer-Filled
Chemically bleached to remove impurities, then injected with polymer resin to improve transparency and color. Looks beautiful initially but degrades over time.
Dyed & Treated
Bleached, polymer-filled, and artificially dyed to simulate desirable colors. The lowest grade — essentially a simulant masquerading as fine jade.
Aviko Designs carries Grade A only. Every piece can be verified by a certified gemologist.
The Supply Chain
Sourced at the Origin
Jadeite forms deep in the earth under extreme pressure — primarily in the Kachin State of Myanmar, and processed and traded through the jade markets of Guangzhou and Yunnan, China. These are the places where the finest stones are evaluated, cut, and shaped.
Our supply chain begins there. We work with suppliers who have spent decades in these markets — people who can read a stone's quality by eye, who understand the difference between a piece worth keeping and one worth passing over.
This direct relationship means no middlemen inflating prices, no uncertainty about origin, and no compromise on quality.
